FIRST SOD TURNED ON INGENIA LIFESTYLE KOKOMO AS DOWNSIZERS CHARMED BY PICTURESQUE BLUEYS BEACH

The Great Lakes region of Barrington Coast has welcomed a new over 55s lifestyle destination Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo with Ingenia Communities representatives joined by key project partners to turn the first sod on Wednesday 29 January.

Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo, in Blueys Beach, joins other Ingenia communities launched last year in Morriset, Port Stephens and Fullerton Cove, and comes as seniors continue the trend of retiring to the Mid-Coast with over 55s making up more than 35 per cent of the area’s current population1.

Ingenia Communities Executive General Manager Acquisitions and Development Michael Rabey said Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo will provide highly sought after resort-style living in beautiful Bluey’s Beach, bringing a new era of retirement living to the area.

“Barrington Coast is famous for its sparkling blue water, lush rainforest and charming coastal escapes. It comes as no surprise that many retirees are seeking to downsize to the region and embrace a lifestyle more akin to a relaxed, coastal retreat,” Mr Rabey said.

“We instantly recognised the appeal of the region and are thrilled to be providing new homes in a community specially designed to suit the over 55s demographic.

“Blueys Beach is a picturesque place offering so much to do, from gorgeous hinterland hikes to surfing and swimming on white sand beaches or visiting the amazing local cafes with friends and loved ones, while still being just a 20-minute drive from larger towns of Forster and Tuncurry.

“Upon completion, Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo will offer 133 new homes in the township with first residents expected to arrive in late 2025. It’s a rare opportunity for buyers to make the escape to this stunning part of NSW.

“Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo will also boast resort-style facilities including an outdoor swimming pool and spa, pickleball court BBQ dining area and state-of-the-art clubhouse that features a lounge and dining room, games room, indoor golf simulator, gym and sauna, to name a few.”

Mr Rabey said Ingenia has designed the community to complement and protect the beautiful natural surrounds.

“Ingenia Communities recognises the great responsibility it has to care for the surrounding environment that makes this location so uniquely beautiful.

“We have donated 60 hectares of conservation land that backs on to the north of our site to Mid-Coast Council and have retained a significant volume of local native Cabbage Palm Trees in an on-site

nursery. These will be replanted as key landscape features that will characterise the Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo community.

“We’re also targeting a 5-Star Green Star – Communities rating, reflecting our commitment to excellence in sustainable outcomes at Ingenia Lifestyle Kokomo.”

Homes in the first release will be available for sale in April this year.
