Community Engagement and Impact

Support for local charities and community groups is an ongoing focus for individual community managers and their residents that not only provides much needed funding and volunteering but also supports engagement and a sense of purpose for residents. These activities include financial support through fundraising or sponsorships, contribution of goods for charity events or provision of space or volunteers.

Partnership with Ronald Mcdonald House Charities Australia
We have continued our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities and have donated $380,000 since our partnership commenced in 2018. Working with this key charity generates strong employee and resident engagement.

Partnership with Surf Life Saving NSW (SLSNSW)

We continued our collaboration with Surf Life Savings NSW (SLSNSW) by supporting the annual Junior Lifesaver of the Year program.

In FY24, we continue support for the Bush to Beach program, as naming rights partner for the SLSNSW.

Support for Souths Cares

We take great pride in supporting Souths Cares, an independent, public benevolent institution that extends the legacy of the South Sydney Rabbitohs’ longstanding commitment to community support, with a specific focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

In FY24, we hosted cultural and cadetship camps at 4 parks and participated in the Souths Cares annual Liverpool Opportunity Hub Education, Employment and Wellbeing Expo.

Ingenia Giving – supporting broader community engagement and impact

Recognising the significant local community contribution that is undertaken across individual residential communities at a local level, our Ingenia Giving Program supports our donation and volunteering efforts to positively impact our communities and support the residents of our communities in their charitable efforts while making a meaningful contribution to the regions in which we operate.  The policy is based on the below three pillars:

  1. Community-Based Giving: Empowering Community and Park Managers to allocate charitable funds that best suit their local communities. This program also supports resident engagement
  2. Staff-Based Giving: Providing team members with two days of charity leave or matching donations for charitable causes that are meaningful to them. Our team also organise volunteering opportunities that allow our teams to work together to support a worthy cause
  3. Corporate and Regional Giving: Supporting charitable groups aligned with core values and strategic initiatives. Key partnerships include Ronald McDonald House (nationally) and Port Stephens Koala Hospital (Port Stephens region).
